And the theme is "What really annoys you in your city"

Well, this is not big thing, but it's something I have to see almost every day and it really annoys me. On the poster left it says: "Sea Oulu's summer theatre, welcome". It's not summer anymore and there hasn't happened anything since last August. So, why everyone who comes to Hietasaari has to look all these old adds at long fence all year around? Why Sea Oulu summer theatre is allowed to leave this mess after the season?

No, tämähän ei ole mikään iso juttu mutta se on silmissäni lähes päivittäin ja se todella ärsyttää. Ei ole kesä ei, eikä alueella ole tapahtunut mitään sitten viime elokuun. Miksi siis kaikkien, jotka tulevat Hietasaareen, pitää katsella näitä vanhoja mainoksia koko pitkän aidan täydeltä ympäri vuoden? Miksi Meri Oulu kesäteatteri saa jättää näkösälle tämmöisen sotkun teatterikauden lopputtua?

About a month and a half ago was a winter solstice, a shortest day of the year. Sun went down at 2:04 PM, today sunset was not until at 3:53 PM. This photo is taken a week ago at 3:06 PM at Nallikari beach.

Noin puolitoista kuukautta sitten oli talvipäivänseisaus ja vuoden lyhyin päivä. Aurinko laski silloin 14.04, tänään aurinko laski vasta 15.53. Tämä kuva on otettu viikko sitten klo 15.06 Nallikarissa.

Today's head title supposed to be "Under the chrystal lamps" but as you can see there is no such thing in this picture *deep sigh* and the reason is bad battery in my handback camera.

Summer solstice - Kesäpäivän seisaus

To celebrate the longest and lightest day of the year here in north I post this photo of four elements. Sun - the fire, sea - the water, concrete pier - the earth, and those white dots around the sun are water drops which hard wind – the air – splashed to my lens.

We don’t have the midnight sun here in Oulu but we have anyway these white nights. Sun is below the horizon only couple of hours, today it sets at 00.21 and rices again at 02.18.

Juhliakseni vuoden pisintä ja valoisintä päivää täällä pohjoisessa postaan tämän neljän elementin kuvan. Aurinko- tuli, meri - vesi, betonilaituri - maa ja nuo valkoiset täplät auringon ymparillä ovat kovan tuulen - ilma - linsiin roiskauttamia vesipisaroita .

Oulussa ei ole keskiyön aurinkoa mutta valoisat kesäyöt meillä kumminkin on. Aurinko on horisontin alapuolella vain muutaman tunnin, tänään aurinko laskee 00.21 ja nousee taas 02.18.
