Year ago spring was two weeks late. Shooting spot is not exactly the same but the place is.

Vuosi sitten kevät oli kaksi viikkoa myöhässä. Kuvauskohta ei ole ihan sama mutta paikka on.

Cold morning - Pakkasaamu

From Iron bridge to Oulu river yesterday at 9:30 AM. Background is Merikoski water-power station. It was about - 20 Cº and windy, hrr.

Light phenomenon - Valoilmiö

Photo is taken at last night from my balcony. I'm not sure but I think that this phenomenom occur when it's very cold and there is tiny ice chrystals in the air.

Kuvattu eilen illalla parvekkeelta käsin. En ole aivan varma mutta luulisin että ilmiö syntyy kovalla pakkasella kun ilmassa on jääkiteitä.

- 25 Cº

It is 25 below zero in this morning. I have to stay inside the whole day and work at this computer, lucky me ;-) For information for all horrified people living in warmer latitudes, that Finnish houses are well heated up. Usually inside temperature is between 18-25 Cº. Smoke (well, most of it is only a steam) you can see in this photo comes actually from the district heating plant of Toppila.

Ulkona on 25 astetta pakkasta. Minun pitää pysytellä koko päivä sisäällä raatamassa tässä koneella, onneksi ;-). Tiedoksi kauhistuneille lämpimämpien leveysasteiden asukkaille, että suomalaiset talot ovat hyvin lämmitettyjä. Sisälämpötila on yleensä 18-25 välillä. Kuvassa näkyvä savu (no suurin osa on kyllä vesihöyryä) tulee Toppilan kaukolämpövoimalasta.

Today we have had genuine November weather: rainy, windy and dark. Rain started at morning and it still continues.

Tänään on ollut aito marraskuun sää: sateinen, tuulinen ja pimeä. Sade alkoi aamupäivällä ja jatkuu yhä.

(I was going to shoot a new photo for today but at downtown I noticed that my faithful little camera was left at home in other bag, pöh)

Summer rain

Today we got the first proper summer rain.

Spring greetings from Oulu!

Yet another gray day, but at least we didn't get wet snow today. Spring is definitely not any beautiful season here. My opinion is that we don't have spring at all, winter continues and continues until one day *tadaa* it's green and warm and flowers are blooming, it's summer.
